THE REVEREND FATHER STELIOS N. SITARAS Beloved in the Lord, October is always a very exciting month at our Church mainly because of our Festival. It gives us an opportunity to show the beauty of our faith through our church tours, to show them our spiritual home, to interact with the people of the greater Corpus Christi area, and to offer them a glimpse of the depth of character of each of you. During October we have some very significant feast days: Thomas the Apostle on October 6th; Symeon the New Theologian on the 12th of October; Luke the Evangelist on the 18th of October; and of course, St. Demetrios on the 26th. These feast days are significant on our church calendar and are also a time to commemorate our great examples of faith and piety. Let us strive to emulate the example of these great Saints. While we are focused on the Festival, let us not lose sight of our daily commitment to prayer and of our spiritual life during this time of great celebration. I want to thank each of you in advance for your help in making this the best Festival ever, and I look forward to celebrating our faith together this month. Your humble servant, Fr. Stelios |
