Beloved Sisters and Brothers in the Lord,

CHRISTOS ANESTI ! CHRIST IS RISEN !

            While reading the second chapter of The Book of Acts describing The Day of Pentecost, something very significant came to mind and I found it worthy of sharing with you. In Acts 2:1 it states " When the Day of Pentecost had come, they were all with one accord in one place". The words " with one accord in one place " is what made me think that this is exactly what the Church is. "One accord " means that we are gathered with one single purpose and that is to worship and glorify Our Lord. " In one place " means that we are together in the Lord's house; the environment in which the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us.

          As we approach Pentecost on June 7th, take the time this month to fully realize that  when we attend the Divine Services that we are gathered " with one accord in one place " for a reason. And that reason is to allow The Holy Spirit to guide us and as a "Helper" ( John 14:16 ).

          May our Risen Lord richly bless all of you!
