THE REVEREND FATHER STELIOS N. SITARAS Beloved Sisters and Brothers, As we begin a New Year, I wanted to express and convey my thanks to you for your kind condolences during this difficult time in my life. I want to offer some feelings of hope to my parish family for a blessed New Year. If you really think about it, every day is a new beginning and every day offers us a chance to do better. It is always emphasized more in January, when we begin a new calendar year. Please remember that our Lord and Savior always guides us and guards us in all that we do, and blessings from Him can be seen in our everyday lives. It is my sincere prayer and hope that each of you strive to make this year the best year ever. There are a few ways to accomplish this. One is to pray for everyone, whether you love them or not. Praying for others is an expression of God's love in you. God's love does not discriminate. We are all his children. It is also important not only to pray for others. It is also very important to forgive others. Forgiving others releases you from the negative feelings that you might have for them and allows you to act in a more Christ-like fashion. Finally, we can express God's love by utilizing our individual talents and strengths to be His instruments of help and support. Once again, let me express my best wishes for a new year that is filled with all the blessings of God, family, and friends. In Christ's Service, Fr. Stelios Sitaras |
