MESSAGE FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL PRESIDENT:

Dear Parishioners:

In a little over two weeks our Greek Festival will be but just a memory. We know, however, that it will be a great success because of those volunteers who come out when the need is the greatest. With the shortest of time left, the strength and source of our success will come forth from those volunteers for one of our most successful Festivals. Thank you “seen and unseen” volunteers.

Did you know the reason why many of the food and pastry items for the Festival were store bought this year? It was so that those who have labored so long and hard these many past Festivals could finally rest.

Dinner tickets have been distributed and many of the books have already been sold. Money is now coming in on a regular basis. But if at all possible get another book or two and sell all the tickets so we may have another “sell-out” event.

The advertisements are out and billboards have gone up throughout the city, thanks to the help and generosity of William Vaseliades. The tents and all the associated supplies and equipment have been ordered. Our Festival Chairman, Nick Sissamis, is working overtime making sure that everything is on schedule and getting accomplished.

Get excited and involved! If you want to help out, contact any Council Member. The Parish Council wishes to express its gratitude to each of you for your many and diverse ways of involvement.

Sincerely,

Horacio Ortiz

Parish Council President
