Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!Many thanks to those of you who contributed, provided and displayed the Easter floral arrangements during the lenten and Easter services. Special recognition to those of you who arranged the many beautiful flowers. There was such fragrance in our Spiritual House.The Parish Council has completed the budget for the operation of our church. As you may be aware your pledge to the Church is the important basis of the budget. That is the foundation. The next very essential part of the budget is tithing. These two items comprise the foundation for the necessary income to maintain our spiritual home. Please check that your pledge is part of our budget. If not see me for your forms.The council is undergoing preparations for the General Assembly towards the end of May. Look for an announcement. The Parish Council appreciates those of you who supported the Easter letter and updated your pledge for the year.The Greek Festival planning is underway for this year’s festival that is scheduled for October, 2006. Those of you who wish to be involved in the festival activities look for the lists to sign-up. There are so many areas where help is needed. There will also be a Health Class for those parishioners who are in need of a Food Handlers Card. Look for the announcement. Many cards expire in September, 2006. As always if you have ideas or suggestions for new fund raising activities that would provide income for out Church please talk to one of the Parish Council members. Also, we, the Council, appreciate your observance of the required etiquette during the Divine Liturgy and other church services. See you on Sunday for the Divine Liturgy and the coffee fellowship hour that follows and also at the scheduled weekday services.
