Our first fund raiser of the year promises to be have been a big success, thanks to the generosity of Nick Sissamis. Over half of the 500 tickets that were printed were sold and all expenses were covered by Mr. Sissamis.

As you may be aware, June is the beginning of the hurricane season and we urge everyone to take the necessary precautions. Also during the month of June we will be celebrating Flag Day and, of course, Father’s Day. So, please take a moment and focus your thoughts on the significance of each of these special days. June is also the time when many of our parishioners will be taking their vacation. We wish you all good weather, good health and a safe return. There are many things to accomplish before your departure, but let your last thoughts be of our parish.

We have received many compliments on the floors of the solea and around the altar since they have been cleaned and polished. We thank you all, both the seen and unseen helpers, for keeping our church in excellent condition and nicely decorated.

The date for our General Assembly has been set. It will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007. It is very important that all parishioners in good standing attend and participate in this meeting. And please do not forget to invite a friend or acquaintance to visit our church.
