MESSAGE FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL PRESIDENT:

Dear Parishioners:

You know July is here already. Where did half a year go by so fast? There is so much to complete.

The council appreciates the great work all of you have accomplished for our Spiritual House. Thank you.

This month we have our country’s Independence to celebrate. Then there is the going away dinner on July 8, 2996 at Niko’s for Mr. William “Bill” Chriss. He and his family are relocating to Austin, Texas. He and the Chriss family have been a pillar of our community and parish. It should be acknowledged that the going away dinner will be a fund raiser for our Parish. Thank you, Bill! You and your family will truly be missed and we wish you “God Speed” on your new endeavors.

We regret that not too many of you remained for our General Assembly to receive an informational update and to approve the Parish budget. However in November we shall have another official General Assembly to approve the Parish’s budget for the ensuing year.

Next important matter is of course the Greek Festival. There will be three charts, with positions and duties displayed. Look over these flow charts carefully and please sign up. Exercise your knowledge, skills, business acumen, contacts, motivation, leadership and faith to accomplish one or more of the necessary and formidable tasks. Make a commitment to prosper our Greek Festival with love and faith to thereby grace our Spiritual House.

I look forward to seeing you Sunday for Divine Liturgy and the coffee fellowship that follows. Invite a friend over.

Sincerely,

Horacio Ortiz

Parish Council President
