DELPHI NEWS - May 2009

Dear Friends,

Teamwork was the key that made this year’s Easter Bake Sale such a tremendous success! Whether you were able to come for one hour or every day, the result was plenty of handmade goodies for the public on April 9 & 10.  I especially want to recognize the women who made the extra effort to get in early to begin the dough so that all would be ready when the “crew” arrived.  We COULD NOT have done it without you, JoAnn Santikos and Rita Lontos. Congratulations and a big thank you for going the extra mile from all of us!

Our Delphi aprons arrived in time for the last meeting.  We still have some available at the very reasonable price of $10.  The luncheon was hosted by me and Freida Hallick.   Thank you, Freida, for making the delicious vegetable dish and apple crisp!

On May 10, the Delphi club will hold a 40 day memorial coffee for our charter member, Marika Govatos. We will miss her friendly smile and her support and encouragement for the club and all its members.

Our next meeting will be at my home on Wednesday, May 6 at 10:30 am.    I have been obsessing about the bathroom remodel so now you can come see the results (as well as the kitchen). The address is 618 Bermuda.  Coming down Alameda Street, I am between Doddridge and Everhart.  Please call if you need more detailed directions.  We will hold our election of officers for next year.

Sincerely,
Natalie Rogen
