St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church

HELLO FROM GARY WOLFE

Dear Thalia,
Dropping a line to let you all know we arrived safe here in Madrid, and that we miss you all.  We are getting settled into our house, having recieved our personal property and auto last week.  Still have a little unpacking to do, but it's a lot more comfortable than being crammed in a hotel room!  Tess and the kids are doing well considering this has been a fairly demanding move for us (our last 3 moves have been door to door, and we've been settled in our new quartes fairly rapidly).  Tess is finally able to relax, and is happy the store at the US embassy sells Lumpia Wrappers for her egg rolls.  Matt and Tiffy have been at the community pool every day, and are making several new friends.  They start school on Sept 6.  I've been on the job for a little over 2 weeks now.  There are 68 people assigned to the Combined Air Operations Center (where I work).  Nice group of guys on the staff, from countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, and Greece.  Work is at a more relaxed pace, with several coffee breaks mixed in the day to socialize and relax with the guys.  I haven't made it to the Orthodox Church in town yet.  I spoke to the Presvetyra about a week ago and got directions to the Church.  I just got my car last week, so I'm hoping to make there in there near future.  The Greeks on the staff say it's a nice church.  I hope the parishoners are as friendly as all of you were to us.  We really miss the St Nicholas community.  You all were like family to us.  Please pass on to Father Stelios (I misplaced his e-mail address). Tell him we said "Hi", and pass on my e-mail (wolfe1687@yahoo.com) to whoever would like to e-mail us.

In Christ,
Gary Wolfe
